All application types can be completed online and receive a reference.	Download, complete, print and submit at any Electricity Customer Service Centre with supporting documents.
Supporting documents: Identity Document (ID) of property owner. Organisations require CIPC registration documents, director's ID and letter of authority. Trust entities require documents approved by the high court, trustees IDs and resolution letter from trustees Proof of property ownership (e.g., title deed, rates account). Letter from councillor/induna/chief stating who is the owner of the property New applications: Approved building plan showing preferred meter location Locality sketch (informal or rural address with landmarks e.g. road, shop, transformer etc.) Ensure all municipal accounts are paid up with no debt
Embedded generation supporting documents: Single line diagram - A detailed single-line diagram from the inverter to the point of connection to the grid. Include all protection devices as well as the meter and meter number of the connection in the drawing. The number of poles on all circuit breakers used and export limiting CT must be shown. The number of solar panels per string must be shown. The name and model number of the inverter must also be shown. Inverter certificate (NRS 097-2-1 compliance certificate for all inverters used)
